Sidewalk Hop
An endless hopping game starring Milo, a curly-haired kid with a red backpack. Hop forward one step at a time, dodge the cars, ice-cream vans and bikes on the streets, and ride logs, planks and crates across the creek. Keep moving, because a rainstorm is chasing you up the street.
- Arcade
- Endless
- Hop any direction
- Saves your best score
How to play
- Hop forward, left, right or back with the arrow buttons under the street. Step sideways or back to dodge traffic and get out of trouble.
- Cars, bikes, scooters and skateboards zoom along the streets. Wait for a gap, then hop.
- Cross the creek by hopping onto floating logs, planks and crates. Hopping into the water ends the game.
- Logs, planks and crates drift along, so hop off before Milo rides off the edge.
- A rainstorm creeps up from behind. If it catches up, you are rained out.
- You score 1 point for every row forward and 5 points for every gold star.
Controls
- Tap the arrow buttons under the street to hop forward, left, right or back.
- You can also tap the street to hop forward, or swipe in any direction.
- On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or W, A, S and D. Space also hops forward.
- The Sound button turns sound on or off.
Tips
- You can hop sideways on a street or a floating log to line up a safer path.
- Long logs are the easiest to land on. Little crates need good timing.
- Trees, benches, bushes, fire hydrants and trash cans block the way, so plan around them.
- Don't wait too long. A few quick hops keep you well ahead of the rain.
About Sidewalk Hop
Sidewalk Hop is an endless hopping game in the tradition of road-crossing arcade games, starring Milo, a curly-haired kid with a red backpack. Hop one step at a time, dodge the cars, ice-cream vans and bikes, ride logs and crates across the creek, and keep moving, because a rainstorm is chasing you up the street.
Every run is different because the streets and creeks are generated as you go, and stars scattered along the way give you a reason to take the risky lane. Milo and his neighbourhood are our own pencil art, and your best distance is saved on your device.
