Doodle Stacks
A colour sorting puzzle on a little hexagon board drawn on paper. Three stacks of coloured-pencil discs wait in the wooden tray. Drag one onto an empty spot and any neighbours with the same top colour hop across, one disc at a time. Get 10 or more of one colour on top and they pop in a burst of points. Pop enough discs to finish the level, but don't let the board fill up. Every level adds a new colour, and later ones have rocks in the way.
- Puzzle
- Endless levels
- Combo chains
- Saves your best score
How to play
- Drag a stack from the tray onto any empty spot on the board.
- Stacks next to each other with the same top colour hop together onto one stack.
- When 10 or more discs of one colour sit on top of a stack, they pop for points.
- One pop can set off another. Chains score combo points.
- Pop enough discs to finish the level. If the board fills up, the game is over.
Controls
- Press on a stack in the tray and drag it onto the board. You can also tap a stack and then tap an empty spot.
- Works with a finger on a phone or tablet and with a mouse on a computer.
- On a keyboard, press 1, 2 or 3 to pick a stack, move with the arrow keys and press Enter to drop it. W uses the Wipe.
- The Wipe button clears one stack off the board, once per level.
- The Sound button turns sound on or off.
Tips
- Keep each colour in its own corner of the board so stacks can grow tall.
- Look under the top colour. When it hops away, the colour below might match a neighbour and start a chain.
- Save the Wipe for when the board is nearly full.
- Don't fill every spot. An empty spot or two gives you room to move.
About Doodle Stacks
Doodle Stacks is a colour-sorting puzzle on a little hexagon board. You drag a stack of coloured-pencil discs onto an empty space, and any neighbouring stacks with the same colour on top send their discs hopping over one at a time. Build a stack of ten or more of one colour and it pops in a burst of points.
The board is small, so every placement matters, and later levels add new colours and blockers that get in the way. It is a thoughtful game with a satisfying pop at the end of every good chain. Keeping an empty spot or two free is the habit that separates a short game from a long one.
