No. 2 Pencil
A tile-matching puzzle drawn in plain No. 2 pencil. Every tile is a classroom doodle, like an apple, a globe, a school bus or a trophy, and it colours in when you tap it. Connect two matching tiles with a path of no more than two turns and clear the whole desk before the timer runs out.

How to play
- Tap a tile to select it and it colours in.
- Tap a matching tile. If a path with no more than two turns joins them, both tiles clear.
- Paths can run around the outside edge of the board, but not through other tiles or blocked squares.
- Clear every tile before the timer empties to finish the level. Each match adds a second back.
Controls
- Tap or click a tile to select it, and tap it again to deselect.
- Hint (or the H key) highlights a pair you can match. You get 3 per level.
- Shuffle (or the S key) mixes the board. You get 2 per level.
- The Sound button mutes all sound effects.
Tips
- Linking tiles that are far apart earns more stars.
- Matching quickly builds a combo multiplier up to x5.
- From level 4, tiles slide after each match, so think one move ahead.
- Save your hints for the bigger boards.
About No. 2 Pencil
No. 2 Pencil is our take on the classic tile-connecting puzzle, sometimes called a link-link or mahjong-connect game, drawn entirely in plain pencil. Every tile is a classroom doodle, an apple, a globe, a school bus, a trophy, and it colours in when you tap it. Two matching tiles clear if a path with no more than two turns joins them.
We built it with a short timer and a quick restart so it works as well in a two-minute wait as in a longer sitting. From level 4 the tiles slide after each match, which turns a relaxed game into a sharper one, and linking tiles that are far apart earns extra stars.
