Doodle Keeper
A letter-guessing word game drawn in a kid's sketchbook. A clue tells you what kind of word is hidden, like Pencil case, Snacks or Recess fun, and the word sits under a row of paper tiles. Tap the sticky-note keys to guess letters. Right letters flip over with a sparkle, but every wrong letter sends a grinning eraser bouncing across the page to rub out one piece of your doodle house. Solve the word before the doodle is gone to save it, earn a big bonus and move up a level.
- Word game
- Endless levels, one word each
- Phone, tablet and computer
- Saves your best score
How to play
- Read the clue, then guess the hidden word one letter at a time. Every right letter fills in its paper tiles and scores 10 points for each time it appears.
- Each wrong letter sends an eraser that rubs out one piece of your doodle house. The doodle starts with 6 pieces, then 5 from level 9 and 4 from level 16.
- Solve the word to save the doodle and move up a level. Your bonus is 50 points for every piece still drawn plus 10 points per level.
- Solve words with no wrong letters in a row to build a streak. The streak multiplies your bonus, up to three times.
- If the doodle is rubbed out, the word is shown and you lose one of your 3 pencils. You carry on at the same level with a new word. When the last pencil is gone, the game is over.
- Peek shows one letter for the price of one doodle piece. Every 5 words you solve earns a free Peek.
Controls
- Phone or tablet: tap the sticky-note keys to guess a letter. Tap Peek to reveal a letter.
- Computer: click the sticky-note keys.
- Keyboard: type any letter to guess it. Press Enter to start, to get a new word, or to play again.
- The speaker button turns sound on or off.
Tips
- Start with common vowels like E and A, then try S, T, R and N.
- Think about the clue. A People at school word often ends in TEACHER, and Action words often end in ING or are short and snappy.
- Save Peek for when the doodle still has a few pieces left. It cannot be used on the very last piece unless it is free.
- Long words and phrases have more letters to find, so they are often easier than short ones.
About Doodle Keeper
Doodle Keeper is a classic letter-guessing game drawn in pencil on a sketchbook page. Every hidden word comes with a clue, and there are more than 900 family-friendly answers across 17 categories, from pencil case and classroom things to snacks, pets, recess games, art class and field trips. Words start short and simple, then grow into longer words and phrases like STICKY NOTE and CROSSING GUARD.
Instead of a timer, your doodle house is the countdown. Each wrong guess brings in a cheeky eraser that rubs one piece into a little pile of crumbs, and later levels start with a smaller doodle. Perfect words build a streak that multiplies your bonus, and three pencils give you a few second chances before the page goes blank.
